We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in Markham, Ontario. The role is primarily within the Utilities / Infrastructure industry. In this role, you will be tasked with various responsibilities involving customer information verification, account management, and collection processes within our operations.

Responsibilities :

• Efficiently process and manage customer credit applications using various accounting software systems
• Maintain and update accurate records of customer credit information
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts
• Conduct verification of customer information using secondary sources and update the system accordingly
• Manage and monitor customer accounts, ensuring appropriate actions are taken when necessary
• Handle inbound calls from customers, providing excellent customer service
• Assist in billing functions and claim administration tasks
• Navigate through various systems quickly to access and manage customer information
• Work on accounts receivable tasks as needed
• Participate in collection processes, ensuring integrity and efficiency.
• Prior experience of 1 year or more in a similar role within the Utilities / Infrastructure industry.
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience or knowledge in using Epic Software.
• Demonstrated expertise in handling Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Ability to effectively manage and answer inbound calls.
• Experience in executing billing functions.
• Familiarity with claim administration procedures.
• Knowledge of collection processes, including follow-ups, negotiations, and settlements.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to address queries and resolve issues promptly.
