Job description
Accounting Technician to support our clients with compliance, analysis, and tax preparation. What You Will Do:
· Prepare corporate (T2) and personal (T1) tax returns using Taxprep
· Assist with account reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
· Preparation of Compilation Engagement working papers and year-end files for accountants
· Assist with GST/HST, payroll remittances, and other compliance filings
- Build client relationships with the Partner. Beyond the one engagement assist and highlight other needs

· Communicate with clients to request information and clarify discrepancies
· Collaborate with bookkeepers and accountants to ensure smooth workflow
· Contribute to planning, advisory, and special projects
What We are Looking For:
· CPA designation or working towards designation is preferred
· 3 years plus of experience in an accounting technician or junior accounting role (public practice an asset)
· Strong technical knowledge of Canadian tax and accounting standards
· Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, or similar accounting software
· Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
· A self-starter who takes initiative and thrives in a collaborative environment
· Detail-oriented, organized, and dependable
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
