Job descriptionDiriger et grer le service Qualit, y compris les quipes charges du contrle la rception, du contrle en cours de fabrication et des essais finaux. Veiller au respect total des procdures qualit internes, des exigences des clients et des normes Smardt. Dvelopper, mettre en uvre et surveiller les indicateurs cls de performance (KPI) en matire de qualit, et mener des actions correctives et prventives (CAPA). Diriger l'analyse des causes profondes des non-conformits, des rclamations des clients et des problmes de garantie l'aide d'outils structurs de rsolution de problmes (par exemple, 5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D). Superviser et amliorer le contrle des processus et la documentation pour les oprations cls de CVC telles que le vide, le soudage, les tests d'tanchit, le brasage et l'assemblage. Collaborer troitement avec l'ingnierie pour relever et rsoudre les problmes lis la conception qui contribuent aux problmes de qualit ou de garantie. Reprsenter l'usine dans les communications avec les clients et les ngociations de garantie, en garantissant l'exactitude technique et la responsabilit. Diriger l'valuation des fournisseurs et le suivi des performances, y compris les audits, la gestion des NCR et les programmes de dveloppement des fournisseurs. Promouvoir une culture de la qualit forte dans toute l'usine en formant et en encadrant les quipes aux mthodes Lean Six Sigma et de rsolution de problmes. Participer au dveloppement des processus d'introduction de nouveaux produits (NPI), en veillant ce que les normes de qualit soient intgres dans les tapes de conception et de fabrication. Travailler avec les quipes de service et de terrain pour analyser les dfaillances, dfinir des mesures de confinement et mettre en uvre des solutions long terme. Baccalaurat en gnie mcanique, industriel ou de fabrication, ou dans un domaine technique connexe. Plus de 10 ans d'exprience progressive dans des postes de direction lis la qualit dans le domaine du CVC ou de la fabrication d'quipements mcaniques connexes. Connaissance des systmes de gestion de la qualit bass sur les normes ISO et des mthodologies d'amlioration continue. Certification Six Sigma ou Lean (ceinture verte ou suprieure de prfrence). Exprience directe dans la gestion de la qualit des fournisseurs, des audits et des programmes de dveloppement des fournisseurs. Exprience dans des fonctions en contact avec la clientle, y compris les discussions techniques et la gestion des rclamations au titre de la garantie. Exprience dans le soutien l'introduction de nouveaux produits (NPI) et l'examen de la conception en vue de la fabricabilit. Matrise du franais et de l'anglais, l'oral comme l'crit. Exprience avre dans la gestion des systmes qualit, des audits et des processus CAPA. Lead and manage the Quality Department, including incoming inspection, in-process control, and final testing teams. Ensure full compliance with internal quality procedures, customer requirements, and Smardt standards. Develop, implement, and monitor quality KPIs, and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Lead root cause analysis for nonconformities, customer claims, and warranty issues using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 5 Why, Ishikawa, 8D). Oversee and improve process control and documentation for key HVAC operations such as vacuum, welding, leak testing, brazing, and assembly. Collaborate closely with Engineering to challenge and resolve design-related issues contributing to quality or warranty problems. Represent the plant in customer communications and warranty negotiations, ensuring technical accuracy and accountability. Lead supplier evaluation and performance monitoring, including audits, NCR management, and supplier development programs. Promote a strong quality culture across the plant by training and coaching teams in Lean Six Sigma and problem-solving methods. Participate in the development of new product introduction (NPI) processes, ensuring quality standards are built into design and manufacturing stages. Work with the Service and Field Teams to analyze failures, define containment actions, and implement long-term solutions. Bachelors degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering, or a related technical field. 10+ years of progressive experience in quality leadership roles within HVAC or related mechanical equipment manufacturing. Knowledge of ISO-based Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Six Sigma or Lean certification (Green Belt or higher preferred). Direct experience managing supplier quality, audits, and supplier development programs. Exposure to customer-facing roles, including technical discussions and warranty claim management. Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and design reviews for manufacturability. Fluent inFrench and Englishspoken and written. Proven track record managing quality systems, audits, and CAPA processes. Experience leading root cause analysis and cross-functional problem-solving with production, engineering, and service teams. Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes such as vacuum, brazing, welding, and leak testing. Knowledge of ISO-based Quality Management Systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Willingness and ability totravel regularlybetween Montral and Plattsburgh. Willingness to providehands-on and field-oriented support; strong presence at the sites you support.
