We are seeking quality engineer who enjoys working as a member of a team to support, improve & drive elements of our quality standards. This position is responsible for the overall quality of manufacture products and processes. This position will report to our Quality Leader and will work collaboratively with other parts of the organization and team members to maximize success for Trystar and our customers.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and communicate plans and activities to drive a “team” approach where needed.
  • Support creation and implementation of quality procedures, specifications, standards, data collection and metrics to ensure products meet or exceed requirements.
  • Drive cross functional collaboration to create, update, and maintain process Control Plans and FMEA’s.
  • Provide technical assistance as it relates to process capability and defect detection or prevention.
  • Product release engagement to ensure manufacturability and process controls are realized.
  • Analyze failure to meet a requirement, determine corrective and preventative action (CAPA) and use a structured problem-solving template such as 8D or 5xWhy.
  • Review and analyze information and facilitate cross-functional efforts to systematically mitigate risk in “problem areas”.
  • Ensure results of root cause analysis are addressed.
  • Assist with process improvement and compliance to deliver high-quality products and services successfully and consistently on a timely basis.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to eliminate scrap, reduce rework operations, and optimize inspection process and procedures.
  • Analysis of return materials and warranty information
  • Assist in supporting procedures and modifications in QMS, product or quality standards as needed, supporting quality ISO management.
  • Conduct internal process audits.
  • Support product test process improvements.

Job Requirements : BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience 3+ years in a manufacturing environment
  • Understanding of manufacturing and assembly methods such as fixtures, tooling, and fabrication & gaging methodology and metrology.
  • Demonstrated ability to read and understand one-lines, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
  • Ability to read and verify electrical verbiage / standards and apply it to the product.
  • Ability to verify electrical components in a product and use meter equipment.
  • Ability to read, review engineering specifications, and blueprints to and determine if product is in conformance.
  • ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Six Sigma / DMAIC problem Solving Experience
  • Awareness of electrical standards or compliance certifications (UL, ETL, CSA)
  • Exposure to statistical knowledge (probability and statistics)
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize efficiently
  • Strong team facilitation skills and the ability to motivate teams and individuals not in a direct line of control to advance on improvement projects
  • Analytical and computer skills with experience with Epicor ERP / MRP or similar and Microsoft 365
