We are at the forefront of future engineering technologies, with solutions that ensure the success of our clients in key industries that are shaping the future of the world we live in.

Location: Ontario, Canada (Greater Toronto Area preferred)
Territory: Ontario & Eastern Canada
Travel: Regional travel to customer mills required

About ANDRITZ

ANDRITZ Fabrics & Rolls is a global leader in paper machine clothing, roll technology, and performance optimization solutions for the pulp & paper industry. From the wet end to the dry end, our technologies help mills improve productivity, reliability, and operating efficiency.

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support our Fabrics & Rolls business in Ontario, partnering closely with paper mills to identify optimization opportunities, deliver value‑based solutions, and grow long‑term customer relationships.

What You’ll Do

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to paper mills, combining hands‑on paper machine expertise with consultative sales to improve customer performance and drive ANDRITZ growth.

Customer Engagement & Technical Sales

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with paper mill customers across Ontario and Eastern Canada
  • Identify opportunities for paper machine clothing, roll covers, bowed rolls, and related services
  • Conduct paper machine audits, service calls, and optimization studies
  • Support customers during shutdown inspections, troubleshooting, and performance improvement initiatives

Optimization & Performance Support

  • Perform paper machine optimization and press section studies, including Rezolve press optimization
  • Analyze machine performance using proprietary modeling and diagnostic tools
  • Troubleshoot operating challenges and recommend practical, value‑driven solutions
  • Proactively identify issues to reduce warranty exposure and improve long‑term machine performance

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Prepare clear, professional on‑site reports, recommendations, and follow‑ups
  • Maintain detailed customer and machine records, including PMC, rolls, installations, and product life data
  • Communicate field activity, opportunities, and competitive insights to the Sales Manager
  • Provide monthly summaries and forecasts highlighting opportunities, mill conditions, and territory priorities

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
  • Hands‑on experience in paper mills (production, maintenance, reliability, process, or technical sales)
  • Strong knowledge of paper machine clothing, press sections, rolls, or machine optimization
  • Proven ability to build relationships and communicate effectively at all mill levels
  • Entrepreneurial, self‑driven, and comfortable working independently in the field
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, databases / CRM)
  • Ability to travel within the assigned Ontario / Eastern Canada territory

Preferred

  • Experience with paper machine clothing, rolls, or press optimization
  • Background in technical sales, applications engineering, or field service
  • Familiarity with paper machine audits and shutdown support

Why Join ANDRITZ Fabrics & Rolls

  • Work with a globally recognized leader in paper machine performance
  • Combine technical expertise with customer impact
  • Long‑term customer relationships and stable territory
  • Competitive compensation and expense support
  • Strong technical, sales, and service team collaboration

All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or disability.
