Job descriptionWrite technical specifications based on conceptual design and business requirements Provide code that enhances software as needed with little direction from others Support, maintain, and document software functionality and practices Prototype, refine, test and debug programs as needed Participate in design meetings and analyze user needs to determine function requirements Implement designs by utilizing development languages and tools per design specifications Develop and execute unit testing Provide input into code specification development Trouble-shoot problems or issues of moderate scope through analysis of multiple data sets or factors Recognize and consider dependencies in planning and decision making Apply industry best practices for user software development Conduct performance tuning to ensure code is scalable and meets performance requirements Create and provide input to code specification development Identify process improvements and system enhancements and recommend solutions Trouble-shoot complex problems or issues through in-depth analysis of variable data sets and factors Computer Science / Engineer related Bachelor’s degree; or Master’s degree (recent graduate); or 5 years of equivalent work-related experience Experience with source code management systems (e.g. Git) Experience with Java, React, .NET or other programing languages. Developing and maintaining SaaS applications Web, GraphQL, RESTful Services Development experience SQL and NoSQL databases. A passion for continuous learning as well as the ability to learn quickly and apply new skills Able to work with a global team Thorough knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle methodologies Adheres to software development standards, processes and best practice. Good verbal and written communication (English) Takes accountability and ownership of deliverables. Effective problem solving Ability to foster an environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration Passion for continuous learning Focused on providing high quality deliverable Knowledge of Financial Services experience also a plus
