Course Number and Title: ENV100H1F Introduction to Environmental Studies
Course Description: An investigation of the relationship between human beings and their natural and built environments. This interdisciplinary course will draw from the sciences, social sciences and the humanities to explore major social, cultural, economic, regulatory, ethical, ecological and technological aspects of environmental issues.

Salary:
Sessional Lecturer I - $9,820.70
Sessional Lecturer I Long-Term - $10,510.04
Sessional Lecturer II - $10,510.04
Sessional Lecturer II Long-Term - $10,760.28
Sessional Lecturer III - $10,760.28
Sessional Lecturer III Long-Term - $11,030.36

Minimum Qualifications:
PhD in relevant area of study or equivalent professional and/or academic experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant academic or professional publications and previous experience teaching a similar large undergraduate course in an online asynchronous format are highly desirable.
Description of Duties:
Develop a detailed syllabus and curriculum for the course
Teach the course in an asynchronous format
Evaluate student performance
Hold office hours and meet with students as they request
Manage a team of teaching assistants
Handle other pedagogical and administrative tasks ordinarily associated with an undergraduate course
