Position Title : Shipping & Receiving CoordinatorLocation : Toronto, ONSummary : A company in the manufacturing and packaging sector is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to manage day-to-day logistics operations. Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Supervisor, this role is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring operational efficiency in the shipping area. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and experienced in freight coordination and pallet systems like CHEP.This role offers the opportunity for long-term growth and development, with responsibilities expanding as experience and expertise increase.Key Responsibilities : Oversee daily shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring smooth logistics operationsPrepare and manage shipping documents, including packing slips, bills of lading, and customs paperworkLiaise with carriers to schedule pickups, deliveries, and secure freight quotesCommunicate effectively with internal teams and external partnersManage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environmentPerform regular inventory counts and reconcile any discrepanciesMaintain accurate records of CHEP pallet transactions and inventoryVerify accuracy of received and shipped goods, reporting any issues promptlyOrganize inventory storage and manage incoming / outgoing stockComplete packaging tasks based on customer specifications and deadlinesSubmit internal and external shipping and receiving reports on a daily basisSupport material handling and forklift operations to optimize shipping flowFollow and contribute to the development of policies, procedures, and best practicesMaintain a clean, safe workspace and follow company safety protocolsRespond to shipping-related inquiries in a timely and professional mannerAssist in physically moving goods (up to 40 lbs) as neededTake on additional responsibilities as assignedQualifications : High school diploma or GED required3–5 years of experience in shipping / receiving, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging settingForklift certification (Counterbalance and / or Reach) is an assetProficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with ERP or transportation management systems preferredExperience with CHEP pallet systems is a plusStrong ethics, reliability, and integrityAbility to collaborate across teams and departmentsSkilled in multitasking, accountability, and conflict resolutionSelf-motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitudeDetail-oriented with excellent organizational skillsStrong verbal and written communication abilitiesComfortable working independently and in team leadership rolesPhysically capable of lifting 30–40 lbs when needed
