Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), the Executive Director, Financial & Business Services will provide strategic leadership and oversight across four departments : Assessment Services, Asset Management, Customer Care & Support and Financial Services. This is a municipality that is poised for economic growth.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

We are seeking a strategic thinker with expertise in fiscal strategy and policy development, skilled in aligning financial sequencing with debt ratios and reserves. Experience working for a County and collaborating with elected officials and Council is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As Executive Director, Financial & Business Services, you’ll leverage your senior leadership experience and municipal expertise to :

• Drive Strategic Vision and Leadership : Lead the Financial Services Division to achieve Rocky View County’s long-term goals, fostering an innovative and responsive approach to public service.
• Collaborate and Engage Stakeholders : Build and sustain strong inter-municipal and community relationships, acting as a liaison and advocate for the County’s strategic vision and goals.
• Promote Operational Excellence : Oversee all financial and administrative functions within the division, promoting efficiency and high service quality to enhance community trust and satisfaction.
• Ensure Fiscal Responsibility and Sustainability : Manage all financial planning and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with both short and long-term objectives to support the County’s fiscal health and growth.
