Knowledge Requirements and Competencies

You are required to lead Review and / or Compilation Engagements while meeting the Firm’s high-quality standards and provide technical expertise for Team Members who need support on their client files or specific questions from their clients.

• As a result, you must have a university degree in accounting or equivalent and be enrolled in or near completion of your CPA.
• You need comprehensive knowledge to be able to work through Review and Compilation Engagements and tax files independently in a public accounting firm setting. This requires expert comprehension of accounting, tax rules and treatment and advanced-level knowledge for corporate and personal returns.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel with the ability to create formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analytics etc.
• Proficiency with CaseWare, Taxprep, Quickbooks, QBO and other bookkeeping software.
