Position Summary:
This position is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction by providing exceptional customer service and complying with all service standards set forth within Casino Operations Under the general supervision of Table Games Supervisors, this role is responsible for the dealing of cards, paying and taking of bets, cash and chip transactions, security of assigned table, opening and closing of tables. Also responsible for accepting fills, credits and notifying the Supervisor of Dealer errors and also, positively contributes to an entrepreneurial culture that is nimble, energized growth oriented, to self-motivate and lead by example. Above all else, must be aligned with, and promote, Shorelines Casinos culture and philosophy of creating a great, memorable experience for our guests and colleagues.
Primary Responsibilities
- Exceeds guest expectations by providing outstanding customer service.
- Helps create an engaged work environment by choosing positivity and fun, recognizing excellent peer performance, and by caring about and supporting our colleagues every day
- Performs opening and closing procedures for tables
- Deals table games in accordance with department standards
- Makes accurate chip exchanges and payouts
- Follows procedures to maintain security of Tables assets during play
- Takes control of table, addressing and reporting disruptive/disrespectful players
- Complies with all government regulations, Internal Controls and Department & Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures
- Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Communicates with Supervisor on table issues including responsible beverage concerns, responsible gaming, violations of table rules or other issues
- Promotes Responsible Gaming
- Develops and cultivates strong working relationships with all stakeholders: guests, ownership, regulatory bodies and employees
- Contributes to a team of engaged colleagues who care passionately about the business, site operations, and delivering a great guest experience.
- Contributes toward workplace health, safety and wellness initiatives.
- Anticipates operational and service issues before they escalate, trouble-shoots and resolves guest concerns before they are complaints.

Education & Qualification Requirements
- People-focused and committed to service excellence
- Proactive and solution-oriented with a drive to succeed
- Must have grade 12
- Successfully completed Dealer training for each table game dealt
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent cash handling and math skills
Working Environment Considerations:
Regular casino or racetrack environment, standing or walking for long periods of time, some exposure to noise and conflict, some travel, non-traditional work hours.
