We are currently looking to add a Site Security Coordinator to the team in Ottawa.

The Site Security Coordinator supports the organization’s physical and operational security programs by coordinating daily administrative security activities, ensuring compliance with internal/external policies and regulatory requirements. This role acts as a key liaison between Security Operations, Facilities, HR, PSPC, CSP, clients and subcontractors to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a Security role, preferably in construction, defense, or federal contracting
  
• Strong knowledge of Canadian federal security protocols, including CSP, CGP, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Information Security Policy (ISP), and Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSE) cybersecurity programs
  
• Proven leadership in managing security for infrastructure or civil construction projects
  
• Skilled in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders including Legal, HR, IT, and Operations
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong documentation and audit readiness.
  
• Knowledge of electronic security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms).
  
• Proficiency in incident management and crisis management protocols.
  
• Ability to read and apply complex corporate policies.
  
• Excellent judgment in emergency situations.
  
• Clear communication and diplomacy when interacting with multiple stakeholders.
  
• 3 to 5 years of experience in physical security, site management, or a similar role.
  
• Experience working with a security provider or in a corporate/industrial environment.
  
• Bilingual in French and English an asset (spoken and written).
  
• Must be able to work onsite in Ottawa.
  
• Valid Government of Canada security clearance or eligibility to obtain one, in accordance with project security requirements.

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
  
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
  
• COMSEC - COM102C - COMSEC Account Management/COM103C - COMSEC Account Management for private sector companies
  
• Emergency Preparedness or Security Training

In accordance with applicable pay transparency legislation, EBC Inc. has included the expected salary range for this role, which is $75,000–$115,000. Compensation within the range is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, localization, and internal equity. Base salary is one component of EBC’s comprehensive total rewards offering, which may include performance-based incentives, extended health and wellness benefits, retirement savings programs, and career development opportunities.
