YOUR ROLE IN OURTEAM : As an Industrial Cleaner in our Production Team, it will be yourresponsibility to ensure scheduled and unscheduled cleaning and housekeepingtasks on the machinery and equipment as well as within the automationareas.

Position Overview :

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Industrial Cleaner’s principalresponsibilities will be to perform scheduled and unscheduled cleaning andhousekeeping tasks on the machinery and equipment as well as within theautomation areas. In addition, they willbe trained and expected to perform basic Equipment Operator duties and minormaintenance as well as operate manual and powered material handlingequipment.

Primary Responsibilities

Scheduled general cleaning duties such as wiping, dusting, sweeping, mopping, picking up and emptying of receptacles
Perform general labour and maintenance to support operation requirements as needed
Process trash removal
Maintain cleanliness in and around all machinery
Assist in the prompt cleanup of all product spills, segregating and removing product that is reclaimable from damaged products
The Sanitation Technician is expected to report any unsanitary conditions that they may encounter.
Operate equipment as needed to support business objectives
Operate manual and powered material handling equipment
Performs other tasks / duties as assigned

Qualifications :

Secondary School Diploma a requirement

Training and exposure to HCAAP and food safety principals an asset

Exposure to warehouse / food manufacturing environments an asset

High level of manual dexterity Knowledge / Experience Required

Basic knowledge of the safe handling of cleaning products

Ability to be trained and given instructions in the English language is a must

Ability to prioritize and multi-tasks

Practical attitude and ability to learn new skills

Ability to work independently and / or within a team environment

Must be able to work on shifts including days, evening, nights including weekends and holidays

Willingness and ability to work in controlled temperature zones up to -25˚c

Willingness and ability to perform physical tasks including, walking or standing for long periods of time, bending, squatting and safely lifting up to 25 kg
