Job description

Closing Date : December 5th, 2024 at 4 : 00 PMCENTRE FOR RESEARCH IN INTEGRATED CAREPart of Nursing & Health Sciences, the Centre for Research in Integrated Care (CRIC) is based out of UNB Saint John. CRIC is a living laboratory that develops and evaluates integrated patient-centred models of care for individuals with complex care needs, their families, and members of the care team. CRIC also serves as the New Brunswick node of the Canadian Primary Care Research Network (CPCRN). The CPCRN is a bilingual and diverse network of people who collaborate on generating innovations in primary care delivery across Canada.WHAT WE OFFER Full-time | 1-year Term | Saint John | On-Campus Standard Work Hours : Mon - Fri | 8 : 15 am - 4 : 30 pm | 36.25 hours per weekSalary Range : $47,971 - $59,969 per annumYOUR FOCUS Reporting to the Research Program Manager, the Communications Officer will support the communication and knowledge mobilization initiatives for CRIC and the CPCRN. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives, creating resources to promote CRIC's and CPCRN's missions and achievements, supporting CRIC and CPCRN's committees, and organizing virtual and in-person research events.Support the development and implementation of strategic communication initiatives for CRIC and the CPCRN for both their internal and external partners.Create and maintain communications in both official languages (e.g., creating infographics, managing websites and social media accounts, writing press releases, and creating newsletters).Collaborate with the team at CRIC and UNB's Strategic Communications and Marketing team for CRIC related programs, and collaborate with the Executive Director of the CPCRN on national items.Assist with report preparation for CRIC and CPCRN (e.g., supporting data collection from provincial networks, report writing, creating infographics).Support the coordination, planning, and marketing of in-person and virtual events for CRIC and the CPCRN.Work closely with centre and network committee partners across the country to coordinate CPCRN's Communications and Knowledge Translation Committee (e.g., creating agendas, preparing minutes, tracking action items).Supervise and mentor student trainees that support communications and knowledge translation tasks for CRIC and CPCRN.WHAT YOU BRING Undergraduate degree in communications or a related field.Two to three years' experience supporting the development and implementation of communication strategies.Strong spoken and written communication abilities in both English and French is required.A relevant combination of education and work experience may also be considered.Additional Strengths Demonstrated ability to write and produce high-quality content.Excellent time management and prioritization skills.Strong graphic design skills.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with a wide variety of people, foster positive relationships and contribute to a positive working environment.Ability to deliver high-quality results under pressure, tight deadlines, and evolving priorities.Highly digitally literate with experience and understanding of social media platforms including digital campaigns and automated marketing solutions.A master's degree would be an asset.Experience working in a health research field would be considered an asset.About University of New BrunswickThe University of New Brunswick employs more than 3,200 full- and part-time staff, including faculty, support staff and students.
