Your opportunity :
Under the general supervision of the Clinic Manager or Head Therapist, the incumbent provides a range of services in support and operation of the front desk reception in the David L. MacIntosh Sport Medicine Clinic. This includes providing front desk reception by greeting customers and directing inquiries / requests; handling incoming and outgoing calls; e-mail, registering patients, ensuring all patient charts are completed; maintaining all appointments for sport physicians, orthopaedic surgeons, consultants, and therapists; invoicing for all patient services including OHIP, provincial or private, and reconciliation of private sales; managing the sale of products, including assisting patients with fitting of bracing products, producing invoices, accepting payments for services rendered, creating deposit, and reconciling accounts; uploading health care professional’s reports and ensuring all relevant documents are available; and providing scanning, photocopying and faxing services.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Probing for information to establish needs
- Keeping well informed on policies, rules, regulations and guidelines
- Scheduling appointments
- Ensureing urgent situations are given priority
- Maintaining security and confidentiality of information
- Updating and maintaining patient charts
- Handling fees or fines and issuing receipts on a limited basis
