Nous sommes à la recherche d'un Gestionnaire de flotte responsable de la maintenance et de la gestion des actifs de l'entreprise, y compris les camions, châssis, remorques et grues, tout en veillant à la conformité aux normes de sécurité et de réglementation. Ce rôle supervise les mécaniciens, le conseiller technique et le coordonnateur de la maintenance, tout en collaborant étroitement avec les responsables des opérations de transport afin d’aligner la gestion de la flotte avec les exigences opérationnelles.

Principales responsabilités

Entretien et gestion de la flotte :

  • Développer et mettre en œuvre un programme d’entretien complet pour la flotte de camions et châssis afin d’assurer leur fiabilité et leur sécurité.
  • Suivre et gérer les calendriers de réparation, l’entretien préventif et les réparations d’urgence.
  • Assurer la conformité aux normes réglementaires et de sécurité, y compris les inspections et certifications.

Supervision et leadership :

  • Superviser et soutenir directement les mécaniciens, le conseiller technique et le coordonnateur de la maintenance.
  • Fournir des directives claires, établir des attentes de performance et effectuer des évaluations régulières de l’équipe de maintenance.
  • Favoriser une culture de sécurité, de collaboration et d’amélioration continue au sein des équipes de l’atelier.
  • Collaboration avec les responsables des opérations de transport :

  • Travailler en étroite collaboration avec les responsables des opérations de transport pour aligner la disponibilité de la flotte sur les besoins et les horaires opérationnels.
  • Coordonner les aspects liés aux retours des chauffeurs, à l’affectation des véhicules et à l’optimisation de la flotte.
  • Contrôle des coûts :

  • Gérer le budget d’entretien de la flotte, suivre les dépenses et identifier les opportunités de réduction des coûts.
  • Gestion des données et rapports :

  • Maintenir des dossiers précis sur l’entretien, les inspections et les réparations des véhicules.
  • Utiliser un logiciel de gestion de flotte pour suivre les indicateurs de performance et générer des rapports pour la direction.
  • Conformité réglementaire :

  • S’assurer que toutes les opérations de la flotte respectent les réglementations fédérales et provinciales, y compris le Code canadien du travail et les lois applicables au transport.
  • Se tenir informé des tendances de l’industrie et des changements réglementaires pouvant impacter la gestion de la flotte.
  • Mettre en place des programmes de sécurité et des formations pour l’équipe de maintenance.
  • Enquêter et résoudre toute problématique de sécurité liée aux opérations de la flotte.
  • Veiller à ce que l’équipe respecte toutes les politiques de l’entreprise, les réglementations du secteur et les normes de service à la clientèle.
  • Développer et mettre en œuvre un plan d’intervention d’urgence pour gérer les pannes, accidents et autres événements imprévus afin de minimiser les interruptions et d’assurer la continuité du service.
  • Qualifications et compétences

  • Expérience avérée en gestion de flotte, supervision de la maintenance ou dans un rôle similaire.
  • Solide connaissance des processus d’entretien et de réparation des camions et châssis.
  • Familiarité avec les réglementations fédérales et provinciales en matière de transport.
  • Expertise technique approfondie en entretien et gestion de flotte.
  • Excellentes compétences analytiques pour évaluer les indicateurs de performance de la flotte et optimiser les opérations.
  • Maîtrise des logiciels de gestion de flotte et de la suite Microsoft Office.
  • Excellentes compétences en leadership, communication et organisation.
  • Capacité à collaborer efficacement avec des équipes interfonctionnelles, y compris les responsables des opérations de transport.
  • Solides compétences en résolution de problèmes et en prise de décision.
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit.
  • Permis de conduire valide ; un permis de conduire commercial est un atout.

    Position Summary

    We are seeking a Fleet Manager who is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and take ownership of the company's assets from truck, chassis, trailer, and cranes, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role supervises the mechanics, technical advisor, and maintenance coordinator while collaborating closely with the Trucking Operations Leaders to align fleet management with operational requirements

    Key Accountabilities

    Fleet Maintenance and Management :

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive maintenance program for the fleet of trucks and chassis to ensure reliability and safety.
  • Monitor and manage repair schedules, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards, including inspections and certifications.
  • Supervision and Leadership :

  • Directly supervise and support the mechanics, technical advisor, and maintenance coordinator.
  • Provide clear guidance, set performance expectations, and conduct regular evaluations for the maintenance team.
  • Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the garage teams.
  • Collaboration with Trucking Operations Leaders :

  • Work closely with the Trucking Operations Leaders to align fleet availability with operational needs and schedules.
  • Coordinate matters related to driver feedback, vehicle assignments, and fleet utilization.
  • Cost Control :

  • Manage the fleet maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Data Management and Reporting :

  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • Utilize fleet management software to track performance metrics and generate reports for senior management.
  • Regulatory Compliance :

  • Ensure that all fleet operations comply with federal and provincial regulations, including the Canada Labour Code and applicable transportation laws.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes that may impact fleet management practices.
  • Implement safety programs and training for the maintenance team.
  • Investigate and resolve any safety concerns related to fleet operations.
  • Ensure team adheres to all company policies, industry regulations, and customer service standards.
  • Develop and implement an Emergency Response Plan to address breakdowns, accidents and other unexpected events, in order to minimize downtime and ensure continuity of service.
  • Qualifications and Competencies

  • Proven experience in fleet management, maintenance supervision, or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of truck and chassis maintenance and repair processes.
  • Familiarity with federal and provincial transportation regulations.

  • Strong analytical skills required to assess fleet performance metrics and drive operational optimization.
  • Proficient in fleet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Trucking Operations Leaders.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Fluency in both written and verbal French and English is required
  • Valid driver’s license : commercial driver’s license is an asset.
