Job description
Insurance Claims & Risk Analyst

Our client is seeking an Insurance Claims & Risk Analyst to join their team. This is a unique role combining hands-on claims management with internal controls and risk analysis. The successful candidate will take ownership of the full claims lifecycle while supporting operational reviews and delivering meaningful insights to leadership.

Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Manage the full lifecycle of insurance claims (intake, assessment, submission, coordination, and close-out)
  • Review incident reports and determine claim viability based on financial thresholds and coverage
  • Coordinate with adjusters, brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely claim progression
  • Track claims, manage documentation, and oversee reimbursements and deductibles
  • Analyze claims data and prepare quarterly reports highlighting trends, risks, and recommendations
  • Perform internal controls reviews across operational processes (e.g. rent calculations, vendor management, system processes)
  • Identify control gaps, process inefficiencies, and emerging risks, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Support ongoing monitoring of controls and contribute to improving organizational processes
  • Act as a central point of contact, ensuring strong communication and follow-through across teams
Your strengths include:
  • Insurance experience across property, liability, and/or auto claims
  • Experience in claims handling, adjusting, or claims examination (broker-only experience is less preferred)
  • CIA, CRM, CIP, CPA, or other relevant audit, insurance, or risk management certification is required
  • Exposure to internal controls, audit, or risk management is a strong asset (or willingness to learn)
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment
