PURPOSE :
WhiteWater West is seeking an Engineering Drafter, Intermediate to join our Engineering team at our Richmond head office on a casual contract. In this position, you will undertake a variety of tasks to assist the Engineering Design Services team in producing project deliverables for various Engineering disciplines. Examples of work assignments include assisting Structural and Mechanical Engineers with drafting design-intent drawings, developing CAD models, creating design documentation, and supporting Continuous Improvement efforts. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Perform drafting checks on engineering drawings and CAD models for waterslide supports, towers, and various elements
- Prepare engineering drawings and create CAD models for same
- Coordinate drawing set releases for project deliverables
- Coordinate work with other related discipline engineers, drafters, and departments
- Contribute to the development of departmental teamwork and efforts to improve efficiency
- Become proficient in the use of customized software in preparing engineering drawings for waterslide supports
- Participate in continuous design and drafting improvement processes
- Use Non-Compliance Reporting (NCR) / Opportunity for Improvement (OFI) procedures.
- Execute responsibilities according to lawful and ethical standards
- Engage in continuous improvement of self and team
- Respect people through positive communication, consideration, and cooperation
- Maintain and follow best practices in Engineering, Customer Service, Quality, Lean Management and Safety
- Define and align personal development goals with departmental goals
