About the Company : JTS Mechanical Systems Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Standby Power Generator Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of standby power generators to ensure that they function reliably. You will work both independently and as part of a team to provide timely and effective service to our clients.Responsibilities : Service, and repair to standby power generators to include diesel, natural gas and Combined Heat and Power units.Perform preventative maintenance on generators to ensure that they are always in top working condition.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with generators and develop solutions to address them.Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on generators.Respond promptly to emergency calls and ensure that generators are quickly repaired to minimize downtime.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and regulations. Qualifications : High school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of standby power generators or automotive experience.Knowledge of diesel and natural gas generators, as well as electrical systems and controls.Familiarity with power generation principles and practices, including load testing and voltage regulation an asset.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Ability to lift heavy equipment (50 lbs. or more) and work in confined spaces.Expected to be on an oncall rotation.G Drivers license with clean driving recordAbility to travel to sites across southern Ontario.Asset : Gas technician 2, OBT1 and / or Oil Burner 2 What JTS Mechanical has to offer : Service vehicleExtended health care to include 100% prescriptionsDental careLife insuranceOn-site parkingVision careRRSP 100% Employer contributionsTool allowance programWork boot allowance Equal Opportunity Statement : We are committed to maintaining a barrier-free workplace where all employees can contribute to their fullest potential.
