We are seeking a visionary Director of R&D with extensive experience in the plastics industry, specifically polymer processing in blown and cast film extrusion, to lead the strategic direction and execution of our research and development initiatives. This role will be instrumental in driving innovation, advancing material technologies, and ensuring the development of high-performance products that meet market demands and sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic leader in defining and executing the R&D strategy in alignment with corporate vision.Identify and prioritize research opportunities, staying up-to-date with market / industry trends, regulatory requirements, competitor products, advancements in processes, materials and products.In collaboration with cross-functional teams, lead development and innovation to push boundaries of possibilities, sustainability, and performance while also optimizing processes, productivity, cost efficiencies, quality and scalability.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Partner with suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and academic institutions to explore emerging technologies and materials.Participate at conferences, trade shows, and technical forums, showcasing innovations and building the company’s brand as a leader.Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing R&D team.Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. in Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, Material Science, or a related field.Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in plastics manufacturing, blown and cast film extrusion experience highly desirableCollaborative track record of commercializing products from concept to production.Exceptional leadership and strategic planning skills.Strong knowledge of regulatory standards, sustainability practices, and global market dynamics.Proficiency in data analysis, process simulation, and design software.Visionary leader with a passion for innovation and excellence.Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Effective communicator and able to present to a wide-range of stakeholders.LI-LBM
