Unit Summary
Hamilton Health Sciences in affiliation with McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences is home to one of the most research intensive environments for medical research in Canada. Our research is conducted through a series of research institutes, research centres and research groups, as well as investigators who work independently. We support more than 450 researchers and their research teams and foster the development of students and research fellows. Themes and programs range from basic laboratory tests to trials in worldwide populations, involving hundreds of thousands of participants.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of Research Compliance and Support Services (MRCS) the Specialist is responsible to provide support with the development and implementation of a comprehensive quality assurance audit program. The incumbent will perform systematic monitoring of clinical trail Research studies at HHSC, formulating new standard operating procedures and developing training programs for HHSC-Research. The Specialist will support the management of the research support services pool. He / She will help supervise the reporting structure and management of research staff as a delegate and contribute to the growth and efficiency of the Research enterprise at HHS.
Schedule Work Hours
Full-time hours (37.5 hours / week), Mon-Fri.
Qualifications
Undergraduate Degree : Sciences, Health Sciences or Health Studies
Clinical Trial Regulation and Guidelines Experience and knowledge
Over 5 years of experience in the following areas :
Clinical Trial Management.
Supervising Research Staff.
Quality Assurance and Monitoring of Clinical Trials.
