SALARY RANGE : $88106 to $100120
- Temporary vacancy for approximately one year.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
The Research and Innovation (RI) Initiatives Officer supports the Vice-President Research and Innovation (VPRI) in advancing the University of Windsors research and innovation mandate and strategy. The Officer collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to lead and support research strategic plan and initiatives policy development and governance large research and innovation initiatives including the review and support of the research institutes. The officer uses strong analytical skills with experience using data tools for reporting and decision support and performance addition the officer will lead capacity development and reputation building activities resource planning and institutional reporting with a strong emphasis on inclusive excellence and emerging priorities in the national and global research and innovation landscape. Operating with a high degree of autonomy the Officer manages multifaceted institutional projects and contributes to enhancing the Universitys research impact reputation and community engagement for research scholarship and creative activity.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS :
The successful candidate will have :
Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. data science public policy education science / engineering social sciences); PhD or equivalent experience preferred.
Minimum 35 years experience in a research-intensive institution or higher education environment.
Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and coordinating across diverse stakeholder groups.
Proven ability in policy research development and governance processes.
Strong analytical skills with experience using data tools (e.g. Excel Power BI) for reporting visualization and decision support.
Excellent written and oral communication skills including drafting of policy documents reports and presentations.
Strong organizational interpersonal and facilitation skills.
Ability to exercise discretion diplomacy and sound judgment in handling sensitive matters.
