DUTIES
The Research Data Manager will collaborate with research coordinators, investigators, HQP, and other research faculty to design and implement data management plans for research projects including data collection forms, processes for data entry, data validation and verification, and tracking systems for participants, data, and deliverables. Provide data and data management support to project teams, in a collaborative manner. Create / program / test data collection and processing workflows (i.e., input a survey to Qualtrics and pilot it). Collaborate with the team to develop solutions that support data collection / processing / reporting including writing functional specifications and testing the solutions. Perform data and database queries to support the data needs of researchers. Provide initial support to researchers learning software. Initiate, oversee, and document data quality procedures including data audits. Collaborate with the team in designing and executing data quality assurance reports. Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining standard operating procedures. The Data Manager will create and document clear procedures to identify potential data problems and communicate with research staff to resolve data problems prior to analysis, potentially creating and implementing data processing related training for research staff, and other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3 years) in managing research data; graduation with an Undergraduate degree with course work towards a Masters degree or graduation with a Masters degree. Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel; Proficient in the use of NVivo and the process of qualitative data coding; Knowledge of quantitative data management and abilities with SPSS; Basic understanding of databasing principles, including relational databases. Ability to read and write SQL; Strong troubleshooting skills; Programming language(s) specifically geared towards bulk data automation (Python and the Pandas library) are all assets.
SALARY : $48,842 to $63,431 per annum
