Tes principales responsabilités

  • Créer l’étiquetage des produits pour caisse et UVC et les mettre à jour en fonction des changements communiqués par l’ACIA (transcription Europe / Canada, déclaration des ingrédients, TVN, code-barres);
  • Participer à l’élaboration des emballages à la marque privée ;
  • Traiter tout dossier relatif à la qualité et conformité produit (rédaction de procédures, formation du personnel en boutiques, contrôles internes, normes bactériologiques, réglementation OGM, valeurs nutritionnelles …);
  • Gérer de manière autonome l’importation de produits d’Union Européenne et des États-Unis et mettre à jour régulièrement la documentation et les procédures à l’interne (quota, certificat d’importation, taxes d’importation, codes douaniers);
  • Vérifier les règles d’origine des produits pour leur qualification à l’AECG;
  • Communiquer les changements de réglementations (salubrité, HACCP et bonnes pratiques);
  • Gérer toute documentation relative à la salubrité produits (lettre de garantie, certifications);
  • Effectuer des tests qualité produits selon un planning établi;
  • Effectuer les rappels produits fictifs obligatoires, et tout rappel éventuel;
  • Organiser et participer à l’audit annuel de l’entrepôt et effectuer des audits des fournisseurs locaux;
  • Gérer les plaintes (client, rappel, changement règlementaire);
  • Tenir à jour les bases de données et les informations dans l’ERP;

Ton profil

  • Diplôme d’études collégiales en agroalimentaire, technique diététique, nutrition ou autre formation pertinente (règlementation / qualité) de niveau équivalent;
  • Minimum 3 ans d’expérience en agroalimentaire;
  • Bilinguisme Français / Anglais – Important;
  • Connaissance des lois de l’agence canadienne de l’inspection des aliments (ACIA);
  • Connaissance des normes et règlements en matière de sécurité alimentaire et d’importation;
  • Maîtrise des réglementations sur l’emballage, l’étiquetage et les valeurs nutritionnelles;
  • Certification MAPAQ – Un atout;
  • Connaissance approfondie de la suite Microsoft Office;
  • Possède une rigueur organisationnelle et le souci du détail ;
  • Possède une bonne gestion du temps et des priorités;
  • Fait preuve d’un excellent esprit d’équipe et de flexibilité

    REGULATORY AFFAIRS AND QUALITY ASSURANCE ADVISOR

If so, your role in the team as a Regulatory Affairs and Quality Assurance Advisor, will be to ensure product labeling compliance with Canadian standards, oversee packaging development, and maintain quality control.

    The Gastronomia group, with its brands Gastronomia (B2B-for professional chefs) and Cool et Simple (B2C-for epicurean consumers) is a creator and distributor of high quality frozen culinary solutions based in Montreal. Our mission is to transform Canadians' meals into gourmet experiences, while becoming an increasingly responsible company through B-Corp certification.

    Your main responsibilities

  • Create product labeling for cases and individual units (UVC) and update them based on changes communicated by the CFIA (Europe / Canada transcription, ingredient declarations, nutritional value tables, barcodes).
  • Participate in the development of private label packaging.
  • Handle all matters related to product quality and compliance (drafting procedures, staff training for retail locations, internal controls, bacteriological standards, GMO regulations, nutritional values, etc.).
  • Independently manage the importation of products from the European Union and the United States, and regularly update internal documentation and procedures (quotas, import certificates, import taxes, customs codes).
  • Verify product origin rules to determine their eligibility under CETA.
  • Communicate regulatory changes (food safety, HACCP, and best practices).
  • Manage all documentation related to product safety (letters of guarantee, certifications).
  • Perform quality tests on products according to an established schedule.
  • Conduct mandatory mock product recalls and handle any actual recalls if necessary.
  • Organize and participate in the annual warehouse audit and conduct audits of local suppliers.
  • Manage complaints (customer, recalls, regulatory changes).
  • Maintain and update databases and information in the ERP system.
  • Requirements

  • DEC Diploma in agri-food studies, dietetic techniques, nutrition, or other relevant training (regulatory / quality) at an equivalent level.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the agri-food industry.
  • Bilingual in French and English – Essential.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) laws.
  • Familiarity with food safety and import regulations and standards.
  • Expertise in packaging, labeling, and nutritional value regulations.
  • MAPAQ certification – An asset.
  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrates organizational rigor and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time and priority management skills.
  • Exhibits a strong team spirit and flexibility.
