PrecisionERP is seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst. This work can be done remotely but hybrid is a preference (4 times per month in Ottawa). Any candidate located in Canada in a time zone other than EST must be willing to work core hours of the Ottawa team.Projected start date is as soon as possible .Contract Duration : One year initially with two potential option years A valid Canadian Federal Security clearance is required.General : This is a Senior Business Analyst / Data Analyst who would be able to create end-to-end quality outcomes, innovate wherever possible, and delivery superior quality work. The client has one year for this build, and they need to analyze data, they need a Business Analyst / Data Analyst to help extract data coming from tables and subsequently mapping them. There are 2 external and internal data sources being analyzed and which require integration. The details of this role involve the following tasks and requirements : Senior Business Analyst with strong data analytics experience and strong Excel and DevOps experience. This goes on top of the basic requirement of a typical Sr. Business Analyst operating in a Finance and Insurance landscape and agile delivery methodology.The BA will not necessarily be doing the transformation but they will be working and guiding the team, with what data to keep, what is needed, and how to map it all. They are looking for a Business Analyst to work on a team whose piece of the project is highly focused on Data.There are Data Analysts, Data Architects and Data Modellers as part of this team, and this BA will be working with this data team.There are many technical aspects to this role therefore they will need to be technical in respect to Data.The data is sourced from various vendors and provided to suppliersThey need to understand technically (although not hands on performing) data and API schemas, JSON This is event based, there are many modules, and many data points to manageThis role will involve extensive use of Excel- so deep knowledge of Excel is requiredThere will be DB2 tables transferred into a new domain- mapping, DB2 experience would be an assetThere will be one UI component- business scenarios, and user stories will need to be created but they will have a technical twist.The other components are all technical back end, therefore this Business Analyst must be strong technically to be able to understand and perform their tasks to work with and guide the team in this environment.
