Job description

Are you a detail-oriented and experienced Real Estate Paralegal seeking a new opportunity? Our client, a boutique law firm, specializes in full-service operations for private lenders, institutional lenders, chartered banks, and credit unions across Canada. We are currently hiring a skilled Real Estate Paralegal to oversee a variety of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Key Responsibilities :

Oversee both residential and commercial real estate files.
Draft loan agreements, promissory notes, and security agreements.
Conduct due diligence on borrowers, including reviewing financial documents.
Prepare and manage the closing process for loan transactions.
Ensure loan documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with legal requirements.
Conduct title searches and secure collateral (e.g., real estate).
File and record legal documents with government agencies.
Communicate with clients and provide regular updates on the loan process.
Assist with risk management, including reviewing terms related to default or foreclosure.
Prepare statements of adjustments and manage trust accounts.

Qualifications :

Paralegal certification or diploma.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in real estate law, preferably with exposure to private or institutional lending.

Strong knowledge of land title registration and related procedures in Canada.

Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with a high level of attention to detail.

Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
