Cross Fraser Partnership (CFP) is a Bouygues Construction Canada Inc., Fomento de Construcciones y Contratas Canada Ltd., Pomerleau BC Inc. and Arcadis Canada Inc. general partnership that has been selected to collaboratively deliver a new, eight-lane immersed tube tunnel that will replace the existing George Massey Tunnel on Highway 99. The new tunnel will have three vehicle lanes and a dedicated transit lane in each direction, with a separated active transportation corridor for cyclists and pedestrians. Position Overview : This role will play a critical role in producing accurate and detailed technical drawings and 3D models essential for the planning, design, and construction of tunnel structures and related civil structures. The ideal candidate has experience with civil or underground projects, a strong eye for detail, and is highly proficient in latest CAD software. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed technical drawings, cross-sections, and models of tunnel structures and related infrastructure using CAD software (such as AutoCAD and Revit).
- Collaborate with tunnel engineers, Designers and construction teams to ensure that drawings and models meet project specifications and, design drawing standards.
- Prepare layouts and details of tunnel lining, support structures, temporary works, and excavation plans, including reinforcement and materials required.
- Modify drawings based on feedback from engineers or changes in the project scope, ensuring that all designs remain up-to-date.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, models, and design documents to ensure accessibility and compliance with project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with the Design Management Plan and report to the Design Manager issues of non-compliance of drawings used in the design. Education and qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years as a Drafter in civil engineering or infrastructure projects, with specific experience in heavy civil works, tunnel, or underground works preferred.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software; experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a plus.
- Strong accuracy and precision in creating heavy civil works or tunnel design drawings, with awareness of the unique challenges of heavy civil or underground construction.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical information with team members and adapt design drawings to feedback.
- Knowledge of specialized software for heavy civil, tunnel design and structural designs, such as Civil 3D or MicroStation.
- Experience in 3D visualization and modeling for tunnel systems, including utilities, ventilation, and drainage systems. Why You Should Apply

Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location.
