Job Type :   Full Time.

Department :   Quality Assurance.

General Purpose of the Job :

The Quality Supervisor will act as the primary liaison between the customer and the Quality Department. This role requires overseeing, guiding, and directing the Quality Department Technicians and Associates during their designated shift. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, controlling, and coordinating activities within the department to meet business objectives and customer expectations.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Major Activities :

  • Coordinate and control shift resources to meet business and production objectives.
  • Ensure all customer requirements are met promptly and accurately.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment and ensure strong communication across shifts.
  • Issue, track, and verify countermeasure effectiveness to resolve any quality issues.
  • Ensure timely closure of trouble reports within existing systems.
  • Support mass production activities and New Model Quality-related activities as needed.
  • Verify the quality and accuracy of New Model, Mass Production, and Supplier parts through data collection, analysis, parts fit, and process verification.

Reports and Documentation :

  • Prepare assigned sections of the Quality Department Business Plan (DST-PDCA).
  • Submit daily, weekly, and / or monthly progress reports, including LMI completion and data sent to customers and management for monthly review.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities :

  • Supervise and guide non-supervisory employees within the Quality Department.
  • No subordinate supervisors report to this position.
  • Overnight Travel Requirements :

  • Little to no overnight travel required.
  • Education and / or Experience :

  • Associate’s Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and / or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal), problem-solving, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
  • Proficient in interpreting drawings and blueprints using GD&T.
  • Demonstrated ability to use quality tools and equipment (e.g., CMM & Scan reports).
  • High-level skills in applying mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Experience with analyzing data (e.g., CPK, PPK, measurement data) and applying findings in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple issues, and present information effectively to management.
  • Key Skills & Competencies :

  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Analytical mindset and the ability to solve complex problems in a timely manner.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
  • Additional Information :

  • The Quality Supervisor is expected to handle customer concerns and direct the team to address issues effectively.
  • The ideal candidate will be well-organized, able to multi-task, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities.
