Transformational Leader | Integrator | Data Scientist | Supply Chain Innovator | EBITDA Growth Specialist | Product Utilization Strategist
About Us :
Blueberries are more than just a crop in British Columbia; they are an integral part of our culture, economy, and future. The British Columbia Blueberry Council represents growers across the province and works to strengthen the industry through education, advocacy, and innovation. Values of determination, inclusiveness, collaboration, accessibility, and transparency drive us. Every initiative we lead is rooted in fairness, health and safety, and a belief that when growers thrive, our entire community thrives.
Why This Role Matters :
The Grower Relations Manager is not just an administrator. This role is about building trust, shaping relationships, and ensuring growers feel supported at every stage. From walking the fields and listening to grower concerns, to helping design education programs that prepare farms for tomorrow's challenges, your work will directly shape the strength and sustainability of the blueberry industry in British Columbia. This is a staff position created to support the British Columbia Blueberry Council's strategic imperatives under the guidance of the Council's bylaws.
What You Will Do
- Connect with Growers : Visit farms, listen to growers, assess practices, and bring their voices back to our research and marketing teams.
- Keep Data Strong : Build and maintain our grower database to ensure accuracy that supports levy compliance, effective communication, and informed decision-making.
- Manage the Grower Card and Levy : Oversee communications and collections related to the levy, ensuring the Grower Card program operates smoothly.
- Bring Learning to Life : Help create and deliver (when needed) engaging education experiences through workshops, field days, webinars, and online modules.
- Create Clarity and Accountability : Develop Standard Operating Procedures and track performance through Key Performance Indicators that keep us aligned and transparent.
- Collaborate Across the Council : Share grower insights, contribute to campaigns, and help make Council-wide initiatives a success.
