Location :   Various locations across Ontario

The Grant Writer is responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for the organization’s programs and initiatives. This role involves working closely with program staff to develop compelling proposals that align with funders’ priorities.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Research potential grant opportunities from foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
  • Write and submit high-quality grant proposals and applications.
  • Develop budgets and supporting documentation for grant proposals.
  • Maintain a calendar of grants deadlines and reporting requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with funders and grant officers.
  • Track and report on the status of submitted grants.
  • Collaborate with program staff to gather information and develop proposal content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in grant writing and fundraising.
  • Strong research, writing, and editing skills.
  • Ability to develop budgets and financial reports.
