On behalf of our client - Young Adult Cancer Canada (YACC), Jump Recruitment is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Development Officer. This is a permanent full-time position.

We are a national charity dedicated to making a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve. With a small but mighty team, we work collaboratively to drive fundraising efforts that support our mission.
About the Role
As a Development Officer, you will play a key role in advancing our fundraising efforts, with a strong focus on event coordination and relationship management. Your primary responsibility will be overseeing and expanding our Shave for the Brave campaign by engaging with corporate stakeholders to build participation. You will also lead execution of special Shave events by planning logistics, stewarding shavers, managing budgets and reporting, etc.
Additionally, you will contribute to fundraising communications, including annual appeals, proposals, and donor outreach. You will support our Director of Development in various development campaigns and provide administrative assistance to the fund development team as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Fund Development & Event Coordination
- Lead outreach efforts for Shave for the Brave, engaging corporate stakeholders
- Ensure smooth planning and execution of events and fundraising activities.
- Donor Communications & Appeals
- Write compelling stories and impactful messaging for appeals, proposals, and campaigns.
- Assist in various donor stewardship activities.
- Outreach & Relationship Building
- Identify and engage new supporters through outreach and cold calls.
- Strengthen relationships with current donors, volunteers, and partners.
- Technology & Administration
- Utilize donor management systems (DonorPerfect, Raisin) to track relationships and campaigns.
- Leverage AI and technology for improved fundraising and engagement.
- Conduct research to support donor cultivation and new fundraising initiatives.
