Position Summary :

As our Maintenance Technician , you’ll play a pivotal role in keeping our facility in top working condition. This job requires a solid background in maintenance, preferably within a windows and doors manufacturing environment, to ensure smooth daily operations. From mechanical to electrical, plumbing to production equipment, you’ll maintain and repair systems across our office and plant environments, handling both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance with precision.
In this full-time on-site position , you’ll use your skills and experience to handle emergency repairs, daily maintenance, and preventative upkeep across our office and plant environments. You’ll work closely with a small, dynamic team and be the go-to person for keeping things operational.
Key Responsibilities :
- Proactively and efficiently responds to work order demands as issued to ensure business and production needs are not interrupted.
- Performs a variety of scheduled and unscheduled maintenance duties throughout each location by cleaning, repairing, and servicing equipment as necessary, including but not limited to replacing saw blades, monitoring facility upkeep, and ensuring proper housekeeping procedures are in place.
- Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance recording results in the database, ensuring closure of orders in a timely manner; escalates issues to the Production Manager as required.
- Conducts periodic inspections, tests, and preventative maintenance schedules and reports findings.
- Interprets mechanical and / or electrical schematics, sketches, manuals, specifications, and written and oral instructions
- Adheres to all health and safety protocols, company rules, best practices, and applicable legislation, including lock-out, tag-out procedures, and PPE requirements.
- Follows flexible work schedule, ensuring production requirements are met.
- Follows up with third-party vendors and external service providers as needed to ensure timely completion of repairs.
- Maintains inventory of spare parts, ensuring accuracy, an updated directory, and management of supply, ensuring sufficient parts on hand.
- Completes reports and associated documentation to review with management.
- Other tasks as assigned.
