Kingsmill Foods Company Limited is a rapidly growing beverage manufacturer located at 1399 Kennedy Rd, Toronto (Scarborough), Ontario. We are recruiting for a Production Supervisor (NOC Code 92012) who would like to work in an exciting fast paced environment. This is a full time, permanent position with a salary range of $27.07 / hr to $28.50 / hr. The regular work week is 40 hours per week.
Main shift is Afternoon (15 : 00-23 : 00) but will have to be able to work on Day shift (07 : 00-15 : 00) or Night shift (23 : 00-07 : 00) shift, as required.
Job Duties include :
- Management and Scheduling of production staff on plant floor, including technicians, operators and general labour
- Co-ordinating activities to ensure that production requirements are met, including : safety, quality, environment and volume
- Manage line changeovers
- Train new employees how to operate lines, procedures and reports
- Prepare, review and approve daily production reports
- Troubleshooting issues in production, including equipment, materials, personnel
- Propose and implement improvement opportunities
- Manage sanitation and cleaning procedures to ensure they are done effectively and on time.
- Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions
- Recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other work units.
- Identify, evaluate, control and prevent hazards at all stages of the food production process.
- Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies.
- Propose improvements to methods, systems and procedures.
- Oversee safety of operations.
- Monitor quality and production levels.
Required skills include :
2 years to 3 years experience supervising 16-20 hourly employees in the food, beverage, cosmetic or pharmaceutical industries.detailed knowledge of powder packaging (cans, single serve pouches and bags), blending and liquid packaging equipment (bottles), including High Temperature Short Time (HTST) Pasteurization Processingexperience in training operators and technicians to operate packaging and processing linesstrong trouble-shooting skills (mechanical, electrical and controls)experience in a factory that utilizes Key Performance Indicators in Safety, Quality, Maintenance and ProductivityCollege Diploma in EngineeringFork Lift Operator Certification, First Aid Certificate, WHMIS CertificateKnowledge of CFIA Regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices, CIP (Cleaning In Place), Labour Relations and preventative maintenance.Pass Criminal Record CheckThe successful candidate also demonstrates :
