Biomomentum développe des testeurs mécaniques pour les biomatériaux et les tissus biologiques. Nos testeurs mécaniques multiaxiaux Mach-1 mesurent les propriétés mécaniques en compression, traction, cisaillement, friction, torsion et flexion. Ils permettent aussi la cartographie 3D des propriétés mécaniques grâce à notre méthode d’essai propriétaire.

Nous recherchons un spécialiste produit pour contribuer au développement, à la validation et à l’amélioration des composants mécaniques et des accessoires de notre testeur mécanique Mach-1. La personne retenue travaillera étroitement avec nos ingénieurs et scientifiques sur des tâches liées au développement de produits et à la fabrication.

Ce poste convient à un ingénieur mécanique manuel qui aime la conception, le prototypage, la documentation et la fabrication. Le rôle combine des tâches d’ingénierie et une participation directe au développement d’équipements d’essais spécialisés utilisés par des chercheurs en bioingénierie et des clients industriels.

Responsabilités

  • Concevoir des pièces mécaniques, des assemblages et des outils de production pour des produits électromécaniques.
  • Développer et valider de nouveaux composants mécaniques et accessoires pour le testeur mécanique Mach-1.
  • Rédiger des spécifications techniques, des dessins et de la documentation dans un système de gestion de la qualité.
  • Préparer des instructions d’usinage, incluant le G-code, et soutenir la fabrication des pièces.
  • Participer à l’assemblage de prototypes, aux essais, au dépannage et à l’amélioration des produits.
  • Participer, au besoin, à l’installation et à la formation des utilisateurs.
  • Travailler avec l’équipe d’ingénierie pour améliorer la performance, la fabricabilité et la fiabilité des produits.
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe au besoin.

Biomomentum develops mechanical testing systems for biomaterials and biological tissues. Our multiaxial Mach-1 Mechanical Testers measure mechanical properties under compression, tension, shear, friction, torsion, and bending. They also support 3D mechanical properties mapping using our proprietary testing method.

We are looking for a Product Specialist to help develop, validate, and improve mechanical components and accessories for our Mach-1 Mechanical Tester. The candidate will work closely with our engineers and scientists on product development and manufacturing tasks.

This position is suited for a hands-on mechanical engineer who enjoys design, prototyping, documentation, and manufacturing. The role combines engineering work with direct involvement in the development of specialized testing equipment used by bioengineering researchers and industry clients.

Responsibilities
  • Design mechanical parts, assemblies, and production tools for electromechanical products.
  • Develop and validate new mechanical components and accessories for the Mach-1 Mechanical Tester.
  • Create technical specifications, drawings, and documentation within a quality management system.
  • Prepare machining instructions (G-Code) and support the manufacturing of parts.
  • Participate in prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting, and product improvements.
  • Possibility to be involved in installation and training of users.
  • Work with the engineering team to improve product performance, manufacturability, and reliability.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Connaissance de Mastercam ou d’un logiciel équivalent de programmation CNC, un atout important. Expérience en usinage, prototypage ou produits électromécaniques, un atout. Bon sens de l’organisation et souci du détail. Capacité à gérer plusieurs tâches, établir les priorités et respecter les échéances. Capacité à travailler avec un minimum de supervision dans un environnement d’équipe. Excellente maîtrise du français écrit et parlé. Bonne maîtrise de l’anglais écrit. Être légalement autorisé(e) à travailler au Canada
