Job Description : Insight Global is looking for a Superintendent based in Vancouver, BC for an international leading construction company. This resource will have to provide overall construction management, including design, budget and schedule, in conjunction with the Project Manager, Owners, Engineers and Architects to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget on large complex projects. Additionally, the Superintendent will lead project meetings with internal and external parties to monitor and support the team’s ongoing progression, mentor project team members to ensure career growth and development, and advise senior management of potential problems, work interferences and schedule difficulties while assisting in resolving conflicts. The Superintendent will jointly be responsible to monitor, interpret and forecast a project’s cost reports ensuring they are in line with the estimate and maintain a positive cash flow.Required Skills & Experience : You have a construction related education and 1-3+ years of experience in a supervisory position. You have extensive experience with commercial tenant improvements and interior fit-outs. You have an advanced knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control and engineering drawings. You have the ability to quickly identify problem situations, evaluate alternative causes, produce workable solutions and lead a large team to successful completion.
