Summary
Assist the Procurement Leads to ensure the best position for Simplot Grower Solutions in the acquisition of Seed, Seed Care, Inoculant, and Crop Protection products and supporting our Simplot Grower Solutions network with the resources needed to sell these products. Lead and inspire excellence in forecasting and planning for products to ensure Simplot Grower Solutions is a leader in inventory management. Collaborate with the Accounting team for success in matching purchase orders with purchase receipts and invoicing to allow for accurate and timely payments to our distributors.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Product Procurement and Logistics
- Work closely with Procurement Leads to manage and track distribution warehouse inventories, counts and logistics of product to retail locations to maximize efficiencies of warehouse capacities and profitability
- Monitor aging inventory by location
- Entering new products into ERP
- Be a point of contact for suppliers and distributors to collect information
- Collect internal forecasts and communicate inventory forecast position reports to wholesale distributors and manufacturers
- Work closely within Procurement team in the development of reporting systems to ensure proper tracking of shipments and supply contracts
- Responsible for sales data reporting and validations
- Ensure current understanding of all products, load and package sizes appropriate to Simplot Grower Solutions Markets
- Work closely with the Market Office Coordinators, Office Administrators and Finance & Accounting Team to ensure successful matching of purchase orders, purchase receipts and invoicing within our ERP systems
- Assist in logistics of custom seed treating – work with sales staff to ensure the most efficient use of custom seed treaters
