Salary : At Wawanesa, salary is only one component of a holistic, comprehensive and competitive offering that we provide to our employees. The salary offered for this role is determined with consideration to various factors, including but not limited to : your work location, local labour market conditions, external market salary data, internal pay equity and the knowledge, skills, experience and anticipated proficiency in the role. The salary offered is estimated to be within the following range : $90,000- $115,000. Candidates with salary expectations outside of the range are still encouraged to apply.

Working under minimal supervision, the Senior Process Analyst contributes to Wawanesa’s success by utilizing their analytic and project management skills to support all business stakeholders in their drive to meet Wawanesa’s strategic priorities. They will help provide Lean, process improvement and change management support, to increase knowledge and understanding, and influence the speed of adoption and proficiency. Fostering relationships and building trust through collaboration, a problem solver who achieves exceptional results by driving end-to-end process improvement initiatives and analyzing business processes to drive continuous improvements deriving tangible benefits to deliver on initiatives from concept to execution. This position requires excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and technical skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the facilitation and requirements gathering sessions and workshops with stakeholders and document the results.
  • Identify and eliminate business process waste and collaborate with business sponsors to create plans for improvements and implementation.
  • Lead the analysis, design, and documentation of current and future state business processes.
  • Lead the creation and delivery of presentations to multiple business groups including executive team members.
  • Assist with managing team initiatives and maintain timelines for continuous process improvement using project management skills.
  • Develop and implement strategies for communication, engagement, training, and resistance management, as well as plans for projects, initiatives, and changes.

Conduct training needs assessments, and lead the development of training strategies, plans, and materials on projects.

  • Possess a high-level understanding of company standards, guiding principles, strategic themes, and established team methodologies, which leads and influences a continuous improvement mindset
  • Develop and enhance productive business relationships by liaising with internal and external stakeholders, actively identifying opportunities for collaboration.
  • Develop meaningful initiative and process performance metrics ensuring they are tied to business performance and strategic goals.
  • Lead project scrums when required using Agile methodology.
  • Identify and proactively manage project scope and risks.
  • Coach and train team members including peer review of documentation.
  • Collaborate with business teams to identify areas of opportunity for process optimization, including assessing, quantifying value, and supporting business case development.
  • Provide Operational Excellence coaching to other business areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience delivering enterprise-level process improvement activities using a structured methodology.
  • Completion of post-secondary degree / certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient understanding of common process improvement tools (i.e., process mapping, SIPOC, FMEA, SPC) and technologies.
  • Proficient knowledge in Agile practices, scrum, kanban and continuous delivery.
  • Advanced analysis and conceptual thinking skills with the ability to conduct detailed analysis of information, and to select and implement best solutions.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills, with the ability to develop and implement plans by prioritizing and multitasking.
  • Excellent attention to detail, planning, and organization skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
  • Effective leadership skills to provide support and guidance to team members.
  • Advanced active listening and interviewing skills to gain trust and information from interviewees.
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Minimal travel commitment within Canada.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is considered an asset.
  • PROSCI Occupational Change Management, and / or Project Management Certification are considered an asset.
  • Experience with PowerBI and / or Microsoft Power Automate Process Mining is considered an asset.
  • Insurance-related certification is considered an asset.
  • Business Process Management certification is considered an asset.
