Job description

Are you ready to make an impact?

ZF Foxconn (ZFFCN) is looking for talented individuals to join our team. With ZFFCN, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the future of chassis systems. Join us and be part of something extraordinary!

What you can look forward to as a Manufacturing Engineer:

  • Support production by restoring equipment and system functionality during breakdowns and providing technical engineering assistance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve root causes of equipment and process issues, including PLCs/HMIs (Allen-Bradley, Siemens), Fanuc robots, sensors, I/O blocks, vision systems, and barcode readers.

  • Program, configure, and troubleshoot Atlas Copco electronic assembly tools, controllers, servos, and related automation systems.

  • Plan, manage, and complete assigned engineering projects, coordinating with Maintenance, vendors, and fellow MEs to ensure timely execution.

  • Develop, evaluate, and document manufacturing processes while continuously analyzing flow for safety, quality, cost, and throughput improvements.

  • Identify process gaps, create contingency plans for equipment failures, and support customer trials by gathering and providing technical data.

  • Participate in daily cross-functional meetings, document detailed shift reports, and support employee technical training initiatives.

  • Design and implement process enhancements, tooling/fixture updates, and new product manufacturing methods; prepare project proposals, procure equipment, and manage RFQs and vendor communication.

Your profile as a Manufacturing Engineer (Controls):

  • Education: College Diploma (minimum), Bachelors Degree Preferred.

  • Strong background in PLCs, robotics, error-proofing methods, and problem-resolution methodologies.

  • Familiarity with OHSA, TS 16949, and IATF 16949 standards, plus experience working on multidisciplinary projects.

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; CAD experience (AutoCAD/SolidWorks) is an asset.

  • Experience with electronic torque tools, MES systems, and JIT environments considered beneficial.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and handle frequent disruptions in a loud, non-temperature-controlled factory environment.

  • Comfortable wearing PPE and adapting to typical manufacturing working conditions.
