The Portfolio and Capacity Management (P&C) Team sits within the Chief Operating Office in the Oncology R&D (Research & Development) Business Unit. This role is a member of the P&C Team and is primarily responsible for data quality, maintenance and analysis, contributing to the development of new analytical models to support portfolio & resource capacity management. The Manager, Portfolio & Capacity Management may serve as a point of contact on all portfolio and resource capacity management tools, training and processes.
Typical Accountabilities
Provide support to key business & investment decisions : Coordinate data collection from a variety of sources and formats, providing analysis in support of optimizing resource utilization and enabling appropriate decision making.
Ensure Data Integrity & Quality : Play a key role in maintaining the integrity and quality of portfolio demand and resource data. Your work will enable effective analytics, including reconciliation of data across systems, supervising actual vs. planned figures, and FTE (Full Time Equivalent) monitoring.
Align Actual / Planned Headcount with Finance's FTE Tracking : Maintain the accuracy of CAPIT, our R&D resource planning tool, ensuring it aligns with Finance's FTE tracking. Your attention to detail will keep our headcount and vacancies on track.
Improve Time Recording Compliance : Drive compliance with MYTIME, our R&D time supervising tool, and work to improve data quality and reporting capabilities. Your efforts will contribute to a more streamlined process.
Support Portfolio Analytics : Assimilate sophisticated information to support the analysis of drug portfolio demand, efficiency reporting / improvement, resource capacity, and other areas within business performance management. Your analytical insights will help facilitate strategic investment direction.
Design Data Models & Visualization : Work on crafting and maintaining data models and visualization methods. Your expertise will enable effective reporting and contribute to resource capacity balancing discussions and decisions.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement & Process Simplification : Actively identify functional operation resource gaps and implement opportunities to simplify processes / way of working. Your innovative thinking will help make our workflows more efficient.
Build Stakeholder Partnerships : Establish effective partnerships with key stakeholders. Your collaboration will ensure alignment and foster a cohesive working environment.
Education, Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Essential
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
Strong analytical and data management expertise.
Ability to assimilate sophisticated information and identify key issues and messages
Highly numerate, supported by strong computing skills.
Experience of working optimally in global teams in an international environment
Experience of communicating sophisticated information in both verbal and written form
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
Self-starter requiring little oversight or prioritization support

Degree or equivalent experience in business and or scientific discipline.
Exposure to or experience of Portfolio and Capacity Management, analytics, and modelling in a drug development environment.
Proven experience of Portfolio and Capacity Management analytical tools, including PLANIT, CAPIT, MYTIME, PowerBI.
