Our goal is to revolutionize the economics of recycled materials through innovative processing and materials technologies.
Overview of Role
Sixone Labs has an immediate opening for a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Analyst to support research in depolymerization and chemical recycling of consumer plastics. A successful candidate will form an integral part of a dynamic, innovative, and diverse research and development team. An ideal candidate will have a foundational background in chemistry, data analysis, and quality control, with a willingness to learn and grow in polymer chemistry and chemical recycling of plastic materials. Familiarity with process engineering, machine learning applications, and method development are a plus.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities :
- Apply spectroscopic and machine-learning outcomes to drive depolymerization experiments of consumer plastics and increase reaction efficiency.
- Evaluate and analyze data, conduct statistical analyses, create models, and find correlations to explain the observed reaction efficacies.
- Interface with the engineering and production teams to develop and perform QC methods on depolymerized products.
- Document results and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) as part of the research and development of Sixone’s chemical recycling methods.
