Job description

Are you passionate about working with children and helping them grow? Do you have experience in early childhood education? Join our team at Star Kids, where we’re dedicated to fostering a safe, fun, and nurturing environment for children of all ages.

We are currently seeking a Program Supervisor to lead, guide, and support our team of educators and assistants. As a Program Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing early childhood educators and assistants, planning and implementing engaging activities, and ensuring the well-being of the children in our care.

Position : Program Supervisor

Location : Various Star Kids Locations

Job Type : Full-Time

Requirements

Key Responsibilities :

For Early Childhood Educators :

  • Develop and implement child-care programs that foster physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
  • Lead fun activities like storytelling, songs, art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
  • Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Observe children’s progress, discuss with parents and staff, and address any potential concerns.
  • Guide children with eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers.

For Early Childhood Educator Assistants :

  • Support educators by engaging children in enriching activities.
  • Prepare snacks, organize rooms, and assist during meal / rest periods.
  • Assist with hygiene routines and maintain daycare equipment.
  • Record observations and attend staff meetings.
  • Additional Responsibilities :

  • Oversee the activities of educators and assistants.
  • Coordinate child-care programs, including before and after school care.
  • Ensure safety standards are met and maintain required staff-child ratios at all times.
  • Qualifications :

  • Proven experience as an Early Childhood Educator or Assistant.
  • Leadership experience in supervising and coordinating teams.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Passionate about child development and creating positive learning environments.
  • First-aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
  • Police Security Check (current within the past 3 years).
  • Knowledge of child safety standards and regulations.
