Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacy in the production of prescriptions and provide optimal customer service.
- Receive customer prescriptions, gather all necessary information, and ensure completeness.
- Maintain patient and drug information files.
- Check pharmaceutical products prepared by another regulated pharmacy technician or by unregulated pharmacy personnel for accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare prescription labels and affix prescription and auxiliary labels to containers.
- Reconcile accounts and collect outstanding monies from patients where necessary.
- Retrieve, count, pour, weigh, measure, mix, and reconstitute medications as needed.
- Price prescriptions, prepare receipts, invoices, letters, memos, and general filing.
- Stock medications and related supplies; rotate and monitor stock.
- Maintain perpetual inventory system in Kroll.
- Maintain customer privacy and confidentiality.
