Job descriptionAssist the Site Superintendent in organizing daily construction activities. Support planning, scheduling, and controlling projects from start to finish within budget and specifications. Collaborate with the project team to review plans and ensure accurate implementation. Advocate for and implement health, safety, and environmental standards throughout the project. Regularly update the construction schedule to ensure that milestones and deadlines are met. Coordinate tasks and activities with various project stakeholders, including clients, architects, consultants, site foremen, field personnel, vendors, and subcontractors. Supervise subcontractors, workers, and vendors to ensure quality standards. Organize pre-construction meetings to ensure all trades understand requirements. Foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. Ensure that materials and workmanship comply with quality standards and regulations. Perform regular inspections for compliance and quality. Provide updates on project progress and challenges to the Site Superintendent. Lead by example to ensure that all site personnel adhere to the company's safety culture.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry as an Assistant Site Superintendent within an established ICI General Contractor .
- Experience managing ICI full-cycle new construction projects for long-term care, health care facilities, universities, or government buildings .
- Educational background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for leading and inspiring a diverse team.
- Skilled in using construction management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction process, techniques, and terminology.
- Deep understanding, knowledge, and implementation of the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety
