Job description

Le / la Responsable des ventes sera chargé(e) de la stratégie commerciale pour la verticale Claio Pets. Cela inclut la segmentation du marché cible, la génération de pipeline, la conclusion de contrats et la gestion des comptes clés. Vous jouerez à la fois un rôle stratégique et opérationnel : aligner les équipes produit, marketing et opérations, développer un portefeuille initial de clients (nouveaux comptes et partenaires / distributeurs, le cas échéant), et poser les bases nécessaires à la montée en puissance de l’équipe commerciale une fois la traction confirmée.

Responsabilités principales :

  • Développer et exécuter la stratégie de vente spécifique au segment de l’industrie animale (cliniques vétérinaires, chaînes de pension / toilettage / garde d’animaux, plateformes pet-tech).
  • Identifier, prospecter et conclure de nouvelles opportunités d’affaires : ventes directes auprès des clients vétérinaires et de soins animaliers, licences SaaS, services à valeur ajoutée, modèles de distribution et partenariats.
  • Développer et renforcer les relations avec les clients existants : ventes additionnelles (modules, services complémentaires), comptes multi-licences sur plusieurs établissements.
  • Définir et suivre les objectifs de vente (MRR / ARR, nouveaux clients, ventes croisées, rétention) en cohérence avec les objectifs de croissance globaux de Claio Pets.
  • Travailler en collaboration avec les équipes Produit (adaptation des workflows Claio au secteur animalier), Marketing (campagnes de mise sur le marché, études de cas, contenu), Partenariats (écosystème de prestataires de services animaliers, associations vétérinaires) et Opérations (onboarding, succès client).
  • Gérer l’intégralité du cycle de vente : prospection → qualification → démonstration → négociation → conclusion → transfert au succès client.
  • Construire et gérer un pipeline structuré : gestion du CRM (ex. HubSpot), élaboration des prévisions commerciales et des stratégies de génération de leads (événements, contenu, inbound / outbound, recommandations).
  • Suivre les tendances du marché dans les domaines du pet-care, du pet-tech, des services vétérinaires et de la concurrence ; transmettre les enseignements aux équipes produit et marketing pour affiner le positionnement.
  • Représenter Claio Pets lors d’événements sectoriels, salons professionnels, conférences vétérinaires et rencontres pet-tech.
  • (À une phase ultérieure) Recruter, former et encadrer des commerciaux juniors lors de la phase d’expansion, et établir des processus de vente, playbooks et tableaux de bord KPI.

Qualifications :

  • Expérience confirmée (5 ans ou plus) dans la vente de solutions SaaS ou dans des fonctions commerciales similaires au sein du segment vétérinaire / pet-care ou dans des secteurs adjacents (santé, services B2B), avec un historique démontré de conclusion de ventes et d’atteinte des objectifs.
  • Expérience dans la vente auprès de cliniques vétérinaires, chaînes de soins animaliers, salons de toilettage / garde et plateformes pet-tech : un atout majeur.
  • À l’aise avec la vente directe et via des partenaires / distributeurs.
  • Bonne maîtrise des indicateurs SaaS : MRR / ARR, churn, upsell, couverture du pipeline, taux de conversion.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication, négociation et présentation ; capacité à interagir avec des dirigeants (C-level) ou des propriétaires d’entreprises de soins animaliers.

    Role Overview

    The Sales Manager will own the commercial strategy for the Claio Pets vertical, including target market segmentation, pipeline generation, closing deals, and managing key accounts. You’ll act as both strategist and doer : aligning product / marketing / operations, building an initial book of business (new accounts + channel partners / distributors if relevant), and setting the stage for scaling the sales team once traction is proven.

    Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy specific to the pet-industry segment (veterinary clinics, pet boarding / day-care / grooming chains, pet-tech platforms).
  • Identify, pursue and close new business opportunities : direct sales to veterinary & pet-care customers, SaaS licensing, value-added services, channel / distribution models.
  • Grow and expand relationships with existing customers : e.g., upsell modules, add-on services, multi-license accounts across branches.
  • Set and monitor sales targets (MRR / ARR, new logos, upsells, retention) and ensure alignment with overall Claio Pets growth goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product (adapting Claio core workflows for pet-care), Marketing (pet-industry GTM campaigns, case-studies, content), Partnerships (ecosystem of pet-care service providers, veterinary associations) and Ops (onboarding, customer success).
  • Own the full sales cycle : prospect → qualification → demo → negotiation → close → hand-off to customer success.
  • Build a pipeline : manage CRM (e.g., HubSpot) with structured data, develop forecasting, lead-generation strategies (events, content, inbound / outbound, referrals).
  • Monitor market trends in pet-care, pet-tech, veterinary services, competition; feed insights back into product / marketing to refine positioning.
  • Represent the Claio Pets vertical at industry events, trade-shows, veterinary conferences, pet‐tech meetups.
  • (Later stage) Recruit / hire / train junior sales reps when scaling – and establish sales processes, playbooks, KPI dashboards.
  • Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in SaaS sales or commercial roles in either the veterinary / pet-care segment or adjacent sectors (healthcare, B2B services) with track record of closing deals and hitting targets.
  • Experience selling to veterinary clinics, pet-care chains, grooming / day-care services, pet-tech platforms is a strong plus.
  • Comfortable selling both direct and via channel partners / distributors.
  • Familiarity with SaaS metrics : MRR / ARR, churn, upsell, pipeline coverage, conversion rates.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, presentation skills, able to engage C-level or owner-operated pet-care businesses.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution mentality; able to work in a fast-growing startup / SaaS environment, wear multiple hats, iterate quickly.
