Position : Payroll SpecialistLocation : WestmountAre you an experienced Payroll Specialist seeking your next challenge? Would you enjoy a hybrid role in the heart of downtown Montreal?If so, this opportunity could be exactly what you're looking for. Our client, a well-established company in the construction industry, is currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their dynamic team.What's in it for you?- Competitive salary up to $85,000, based on experience- Four weeks of paid vacation annually, plus three additional paid sick / emergency days- Annual performance bonus- Comprehensive group insurance coverage- Annual wellness allowance to support activities of your choice- Partial reimbursement for public transit passes- Continuous career development opportunities (training, internal mobility, and more)- A collaborative, inclusive, and multicultural work environment- Hybrid schedule : 4 days on site, 1 day remoteThe ideal candidate brings : - At least 3 years of experience in full-cycle payroll- Proven experience with ADP payroll systems- High level of autonomy - you'll be the primary payroll expert on the team- Familiarity with both Quebec and Ontario payroll practices- Proficiency in French - Experience with CCQ payroll is an asset, but not required- Strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and professionalismOther Language Requirement : English - Level of Proficiency Required : Advanced- Reasons for Language Requirement : For regular communication with out-of-province stakeholders- Frequency of Use : Regularly Key responsibilities include : - Manage all employee changes in the payroll system (ADP), including onboarding and offboarding- Administer group insurance and retirement benefits (RRSP / TFSA)- Maintain and update employee leave records (maternity / paternity, sick leave, personal / vacation)- Review time tracking, calculate payroll elements (overtime, bonuses, taxable benefits)- Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing and salary disbursements- Prepare detailed payroll reports and handle benefits remittances- Generate and validate T4 and Relevé 1 year-end tax slips- Stay informed on current payroll legislation and ensure ongoing complianceThis is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the payroll function within a stable, people-first organization that values both precision and work-life balance.
