Job descriptionBe accountable for the timely processing of payables . You will verify accounts from suppliers, making sure that payments are in the correct currency, are coded correctly, discounts taken, payments processed on time and in correct financial period for payables received. Use a proactive approach to problem-solving. Be a resourceful team player who can work independently. You’ll take on an exciting new challenge with supportive team members . You’ll earn a competitive salary based on your skills and experience . The expected base salary range for this position is $44,250 -$59,000 per year . You’ll be eligible for excellent benefits and access to our retirement plans , so you don’t have to choose between your bottom line and your wellbeing or your future. You’ll be supported in continued development through on-the-job and classroom training and reimbursement of tuition and membership fees. You’ll be part of a positive, innovative, and inclusive work environment .

We’re looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk (1-year term) to join our head office located in Vernon, British Columbia . Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications :
- Business / Accounting or related post-secondary training.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Exceptional customer service skills for both internal and external clients.
- Previous accounts payable experience and working knowledge of JDE Edwards and Coupa would be considered assets.
