Job descriptionAssist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment Other duties as assigned Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT), Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP), Ontario College of Pharmacists Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset Retail / Community / Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred Demonstrated computer or word processing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Collaborative Team : Work with colleagues who share a passion for shaping the future of senior care. Overview
CareRx is shaping the future of senior care through pharmacy services. As Canada’s trusted leader in specialty pharmacy services for long-term care, retirement and congregate living communities, we are committed to enhancing the health of Canadians with unique and complex medication needs. Our goal is to improve clinical outcomes and provide personalized care every step of the way. CareRx is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in delivering safe and effective drug distribution services across multiple facilities. This role offers the opportunity to develop expertise in geriatrics, palliative care, and mental health medications. The successful candidate will also enhance their accuracy and efficiency in performing final checks related to compounding, compliance packaging, and other prescription fulfillment processes. This is an on-site role at our Barrie Pharmacy location with a five-day work week and occasional Saturdays as required.
