Please note that this is a 1-year contract opportunity with the possibility of being hired permanently .
Responsibilities will include :
- Able to read CAD drawings
- Continually seek opportunities to improve services and reduce costs including freight
- Follow-up with suppliers for order confirmation and delivery
- Research / Source products
- Issue Purchase orders and quotes
- Reviewing and Understanding engineering drawings of various products
- Liaise with various departments
- Prepare and execute RFQs / RFPs
- Source vendors, negotiate and finalize agreements
- Liaise with cross functional teams such as suppliers, production and customer service to ensure goods are available to meet production requirements on time
- Negotiate terms and delivery for lowest total cost
