We are seeking a diligent and proactive Health and Safety Advisor to join our team for a civil infrastructure construction project in Montreal to work the overnight shift. The ideal candidate will hold a Prevention Agent Card (COSS) and will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting risk assessments, and fostering a culture of safety on site.
What You’ll Do Here :
- Develop and Implement Safety Policies : Create, implement, and manage health and safety strategies and policies tailored to the construction site
- Conduct Risk Assessments : Identify potential hazards and implement preventative measures to mitigate risks
- Apply rules as per Construction safety code
- Training and Education : Provide training and education to staff on health and safety protocols and best practices
- Safety Inspections and Audits : Regularly inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Incident Investigation : Investigate accidents and incidents to determine causes and recommend corrective actions
- Compliance Monitoring : Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation and standards
- Reporting : Prepare and present reports on health and safety activities to senior management
- Emergency Preparedness : Develop and maintain emergency response plans and conduct drills
