Job description

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to paralegals and lawyers (Scheduling, Emails, Correspondence with Clients and Courthouses, Disclosure Organization and Review)
Comfortable speaking in court and handling all aspects of a court appearance from detailed court instructions, communication with clients, calendar management, note taking, relaying important instructions and tasks to lawyers on file
Disclosure review and organization; general mail merge; drafting of court applications
Must be comfortable speaking with clients and providing file updates and receiving client instructions
Exciting opportunities offered to assist with resolution and pleas in criminal court within the paralegal jurisdiction

Qualifications

Graduate of a Paralegal Program - Must be a fully licensed paralegal OR alternatively be writing the February 2026 P1 Exam with expectation to be licensed in early 2026

Experience working in a legal setting is an asset

Willingness to work in a high volume environment

Strong working initiative and being an active member of a team

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Interest in criminal defence or the criminal justice procedure
